My identity has grown deeper and deeper over the past semesters.

A lot has happened in the last semester.

I have seen friends set out together on a journey to discover their identity in Jesus and to boldly ask what Jesus is saying. At work, I experience how much prayer makes a difference—how God gives wisdom and guidance in complex situations, and how dependent I am on Him in every single conversation. I no longer go into my workplace without first praying for the conversations and speaking God’s special protection and blessing over them.

Then my husband lost his job overnight. At first, it really shook us and challenged us, but it also trained us not to focus on the raging storm, but on Jesus despite the circumstances. We experienced very tangible help through prayer and advice from friends, family, and the Jakobsbrunnen community. We also experienced a special peace that carried us for several weeks.

My identity has grown deeper and deeper over the past semesters. I have become bolder, and I can clearly see how Jesus places people in my path—people I am meant to talk to, pray for, or share impressions with. The training exercises help so much to stay consistent and to deepen my connection with Jesus. Jakobsbrunnen has become like a gym for my spiritual muscles.  ☺️
